Mechanical Fitter / Joensuu

AALTOVOIMA - POWERED BY THE POWER OF THE WAVES

We are looking for a mechanical fitter for our client company in Joensuu for a full-time employment. Our client is a solvent Finnish manufacturer of industrial surface treatment systems and equipment, founded in 1983, which implements comprehensive customized solutions for its customers from design to installation and maintenance.

As a mechanical fitter, you will get to work with the assembly, installation, and outfitting of diverse and interesting industrial equipment. You will primarily work on-site in production facilities as part of a professional team, but the role may occasionally include visits and installations at customer sites during various project phases. In this role, you will be able to utilize and develop your expertise in modern automation systems in addition to mechanical installation. The work starts as a fixed-term employment with Wavepower. The goal is a long-term employment relationship, and if the cooperation proceeds well, there are good opportunities for the position to become permanent with the client company.

In your role:

  • You will perform mechanical assembly and installation of industrial equipment and systems.

  • You will participate in the installation and integration of automation components and other systems for the equipment.

  • You will work according to mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, and other technical documentation.

  • You will participate in equipment testing, quality assurance, and commissioning phases in production.

  • You will work closely with other production staff, electricians, and the design team.

We offer you:

  • Full-time employment in a stable and reputable industrial company.

  • A relaxed but uncompromisingly professional work community and good onboarding.

  • Diverse and impactful projects combining mechanics, electrification, and automation.

  • Salary according to the collective agreement of the technology industry, taking into account your previous experience.

  • Good employee benefits, such as cultural and sports benefits.

We expect from you:

  • Relevant technical education (e.g., mechanical engineering, metal industry, maintenance, mechatronics, or automation installation) and previous experience in mechanical installation work.

  • Understanding or experience in the installation or maintenance of automation and pneumatic systems.

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical documents fluently.

  • You are skilled with tools, meticulous, and produce high-quality installations.

  • Proactive, responsible, and good attitude towards work, as well as teamwork skills.

  • A B-category driving license and willingness to travel as required by work.

We don't expect you to be an expert in everything – for us, the most important thing is the right attitude, willingness to learn new things, and commitment to be part of our team. The job description can also be tailored to your skills!

Join our team by submitting your application today via the link provided. We will review applications during the application period and fill positions as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
